VT vs. Clemson watch party at Bar 96

As promised, we’ve acquired a spot at one of the newer hip spots in Austin.
You and your loved ones are cordially invited to Bar 96 (www.96austin.com)
this Saturday December 3 for the ACC Championship Game to watch the #5
Hokies take on the #20 Clemson Tigers. I don’t need to tell you how
important this game is; I know you all will show up to support the Hokies
in this high-stakes game in which the winner takes all and heads to a BCS
bowl game. And after the dust settles, the Bar 96 raconteurs will stand on
chairs to tell the tale of the day the Hokies descended upon their
establishment for the 2011 ACC Championship game.

Happy Hour Meeting – Brick House Tavern

All,

I realize this is short notice, but we will be getting together Tuesday evening
May 31st at the Brick House Tavern at 7pm.

It is located at Duval and 183 next to Chuy’s (used to be Joe’s Crab Shack).

I really encourage people to show up to find out what they can do to get the
chapter revved up again. Unfortunately, we have had a slow spring and the group
could really use a couple of people to step up and help with planning upcoming
events.

Please find time in your busy schedules to join us for a drink and a little
business along with your fellow Central Texas Hokies.

Thank You,
Brian Booth
Chapter President

MIAMI @ VIRGINIA TECH **NEW LOCATION**9/26 CHISOLM TRAIL

UPDATE:

Austin Hokies,

Thanks to the hard work of Jacob Eisinger we have a great new set up for this weekends BIGGEST GAME!  Yes if you didnt see yet our match up is THE ONLY ranked opponents game on.  Everyone else in the top 25 is busy beating up on unranked (although we can hope for some upsets!)

Okay on to the new Location:

We are now meeting at Chisholm Trail Icehouse and BBQ at 8650 Spicewood Springs Road, Austin, TX 78759.

Chisholm Trail is proving to be a big supporter of our Alumni after having already donated a sum of money to our Scholarship program this year and now they are hooking us up with a 55 inch LCD tv with our own room in the back and WITH SOUND!  Kickoff at 2:30.

Also Jacob worked some drink specials with the Manager who is offering us $9 buckets of domestic beers and $11 for premiums.  Sounds like there may be some appetizer specials as well!

So come early get your delicious plate of BBQ in and get ready for an exciting game as our Hokies take on the new Miami team in Blacksburg!

See ya’ll there!

GO HOKIES!!

Howdy Hokies!

We will be meeting at Sam’s Boat resturant and Bar off of Braker Lane Saturday for out 2:30pm kickoff against the ‘Canes!  We have secured tables and two booths this time for the watch party.  Due to the UT game starting at the same time (again) as our “better game” we won’t have audio but I think we had more fun last time making all the noise in the bar giving Horns fans something entertaining to watch!

Hope you can make it out Saturday and come early for good seats!

NEBRASKA @ VT watch party Saturday @ Lavaca Street Bar

Austin Hokies!

I have been working on this watch party for three weeks and just got the “go” for Saturday! We will be gathering at Lavaca Street Bar (405 Lavaca St.) Kickoff is 2:30PM central time.

We also worked a specialty pizza Just for Hokies with the owner of Hog Island Deli. Toppings include “BBQ Turkey”! As we all know how fun it is to eat our own Mascot.

This is a 21+ bar so sorry no minors.

Scouting report shows the Nebraska Alumni are watching the game at Cool River up north if any of you want to go make some noise up there!

Hope to see you all there!

GO HOKIES!

Marshall @ VT Watch Party – Confirmed

I can host it at my place — I can hook my laptop up to my TV. Works great
for Sunday Night Baseball :-)

I’m at 4519 Avenue H, down in Hyde Park near Mother’s Cafe. My sofas can
seat roughly 6, but I’ve got a few chairs.

Bring food & drink!! :-) And if someone could bring some extra folding
chairs, that’d help too.

350-5107 if you get lost or need directions.

Marshall @ VT Watch Party help!

Howdy Hokies,
This weekend’s game is only broadcasted over ESPN 360 and guessing that it’s a smallish pull for a watch party I was hoping someone would be interested in hosting Saturday. Game kicks off at 12:30pm our time so let me know if you are interested ASAP!
On another note we are almost settled at Lavaca Street Bar for the Nebraska game the following week. Details to come early next week.
Thanks ya’ll!

VT vs. Alabama – Sam’s Boat on 9/5 at 7:00pm

Austin Hokies!

We are going to be watching the BIG GAME Saturday at Sam’s Boat which is located at 3908 W Braker Ln. Kickoff is at 7pm our time and if you didn’t see, the UT game starts at 6pm. We have tables reserved for us and WILL have audio during our game. However the UT game will be the house system so if someone has a XM radio system we could probably set that up at our table to make it a little better.

Hope to see you all there as it is one of the most important games of our season here and coincidedly the first!

If you have not been to Sam’s Boat it is a kid friendly place and they have some pretty good food and beverage selection. It’s a little hard to find but take the second entrance on the right passing over MoPac off of Braker lane and weasel your way through the hotel there to find the place.

GO HOKIES!
