Dear Future Hokie:
I am writing to tell you about one of the best things that ever happened to me: Virginia Tech. I graduated from Virginia Tech in 1986. Another 1,022 Tech alumni are living or working in the Austin area as well. Because we believe that the education we received at Virginia Tech is second to none, we want to encourage you to attend Virginia’s great state university.
As Scholarship Coordinator of the Austin Alumni Chapter, I would like to inform you about a scholarship our chapter plans to award to a worthy high school senior in our area who will attend Virginia Tech in the fall of 2011.

Please complete the application and submit it to the scholarship committee by April 8, 2011.
The criteria for selecting the scholarship award winner include academic achievement, as well as participation in school activities. We plan to announce our selection by
May 2, 2011.
